Kojak is a 2 year old Blue Crowned Conure (Aratinga Haemorrhous).

The Blue-crowned Conure originates from Eastern Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and the northwestern provinces of Argentina. They are nomadic in nature in their natural habitat and prefer bush country and open woods.

Kojak in much more the contemplative, meditative of the two birds and I believe he has a deep connection with the more serene energies of the universe.

Perhaps he is contemplating the continuing deforestation of his natural habitat and the peril we humans have visited on his species and the millions of others who make this planet their home.

Including Ourselves.

He is quite content to sit for long periods of time just thinking about whatever it is he thinks about but there can certainly be no doubt when it's time for a couple of Nutriberries at lunchtime.

He is sure to let me and anyone else who happens to be within a few miles know about that state of affairs.   (Perhaps I can get him to speak into the mic and include a sound byte here in the near future)
